Dinosaur Park Flood Event
Dinosaur Provincial Park
(Alberta 75 million years ago)
Seasonal flooding events
often took their toll on
migrating dinosaurs trying to
cross swollen flood waters.
Here, the aftermath of such
an event leaves many
carcasses of the ceratopsian
Centrosaurus washed up
along the river banks.
Opportunistic Albertosaurs
and crocodylians take
advantage of the ready-
made feast.
